Inspiration: waldorf salad

I found this idea in a recent Donna Hay Magazine (my photo above). A fresh idea of a Waldorf salad: thinly sliced apple sprinkled with walnuts, arugula, blue cheese, and a creamy dressing. Takes 5 minutes to make but looks fresh, fun, and new - what do you think?

On another note, my FIL has just launched an Etsy store with his "wish dish necklaces" made out of ceramic, glass and leather (or beads). Check it out.

That salad is beautiful. I like the deconstructed-ness of it.

Thanks everyone : )
Chris: yes - but what I like about this is you can re-imagine it however you want - I can see a sprinkle of dried cranberries - or pear instead of apple - shaved Parmesan instead of blue cheese - whatever you like. The idea is something simple but sculptural, uncomplicated but crisp and flavorful, each ingredient important.
Thanks for all your comments. Hope you have time to stop by the wish dish site.
